AMP with Aztec Mode

I have an AMP and I only shoot my Lapua brass in four different calibers, and know all the required settings. Why would I need the Aztech mode? I don't pick up range brass.

Even Lapua brass has differences, that is one of the reasons there is a lot number on them. I agree, if you only shoot 1 batch but it appears you have no less than 4 and possibly more. It would be nice to know that my setting is specific to my brass and not have to send 3 pieces south of the equator. Now I burn one and move on...I like the idea.

I am more intrigued by the 'sorting' mode. I always have a few cases out of 100 or so that size a little differently/ exhibit different seating pressures that the rest and it would be interesting to see if they read differently than the rest. I would like to know more about the sort feature.

I have sent my brass to AMP and have the settings applied. I won't be shooting any new calibers or trying any new brass, so I just don't think it is a necessary purchase for me.

You can now download Aztec mode from AMPs website. Nothing available yet from the three US distributors on purchasing the code to unlock it.

Rich

I did download and install the AZTEC mode last night... It is installed but is "Locked".
I ran into a lot of small issues getting it to install, I sent an email to them with details of my experience.

This morning, I purchased my code form Grafs.com ...they said I will get an email from AMP in 24-48 hours....
p.s. They still charged me 7.95 for "shipping and handling”... kinda funny.

EDIT: it seems that grafs figured out the “shipping” issue and will not be charging that on this item. Seems like just working through day one glitches.

I just ordered from Graff’s myself. I contacted Brownells and they acted like it was going to take three weeks for them to be able to accept payment and give a code

Hello Everyone,
We will not be charging shipping on a order placed for just the Aztec Program. If you order other items, you will be charged the handling and insurance. Our website puts the handling and insurance charge on the order, but we will take it off once the order has been processed.
@pat fulghum you will be getting a credit back for the handling and insurance charge.

Thank you,
Graf and Sons Team

Download and installed the Aztec Program without a hitch, Windows 7 Pro. Paid for the "Unlock Code" and received the next morning. Unlocked and now experimenting with all the features, so far very impressive and interesting.
BTW... location is Australia so naturally the Code was purchased locally.
Hope you all enjoy.
