Do I analyze virgin or fired brass to get my code? Thanks.
F Class John -If I'm not mistaken, it was one of your videos where you did the whole analysis on the AMP and you actually used more than one piece of brass from a batch and used the average Aztec code?If you wet tumble it really doesn’t matter but if you dry tumble and leave carbon in, the numbers will slightly change but it’s rarely enough to make a real difference but I have seen a difference. Same thing if you turn necks. Always try to test brass in the same condition that you’d actually load it.
Huh. never knew this. They had a 147 code for my 284 brass that is analyzed to 140 with necks turned down to .013.I use Peterson brass, they have a spreadsheet on their website with Aztec Codes by Lot.
Is the difference because you turned the necks?Huh. never knew this. They had a 147 code for my 284 brass that is analyzed to 140 with necks turned down to .013.
Yes exactly. To John’s point, analyze them then in the same state you are going to shoot themIs the difference because you turned the necks?
