AMP annealer

I think the amp mate is $300 and then you need a Dillon or Hornady hopper. I made the holder out of pvc, super easy. In all fairness the AMP Mates had some serious issues in the beginning and still have been known to be finicky. However, once you get it tuned it’s amazing.

So all in you are at about 2 grand?

I forgot to mention that Matt and Alex have great customer service. Despite being on the other side of the globe they’re fast to respond to calls and emails and really worked to get my AmpMate ironed out. I literally have one of the first to hit the market and for as simple as it looks, it has an incredibly complex cycle it has to do in order to function. It turned out I needed a part that wasn’t working right and they had one to me in two days.

Best reloading room purchase I have made, although it took a considerable bite out of the shooting budget for last year. Find it extremely useful for making Dasher cases. I anneal the BR cases prior to fire forming.

I'm going to make 22 BR brass out of Lapua 6 BR brass for my nephew. Should I anneal the new 6 BR brass before putting them through he 22 BR die or is the new brass already annealed from the factory?

Anybody else but me have trouble with this autofeed feeding correctly? Mine jams, doesn't fully engage in the shellholder, won't feed into the annealer portion right. Not all, but frequently enough that I can't let it alone.
Get in touch with AMP. They are going to be offering a kit that should fix these issues if normal trouble shooting won't.

Have you contacted Matt or Alex yet? What I did is documented my problems on video and pictures and reached out to them. The first thing they will probably tell you is to make sure that you have updated your software. There have been a lot of software or I guess firmware updates for it since it has been released and they do make a big difference in how it operates. There is also the need for adding ferrite blocks to the cords. They can help walk you through all of that as well as any other suggestions they may have for your particular problem.

Thanks, I did and they are sending some parts.
