Ammunition Concentricity Tool

I have been shooting and reloading for a couple of years know. I have a 6mm br and a 6.5 284 I really enjoy. On the home page if you click on the Hornady picture there is a Ammunition Concentricity Tool. How does this work.? And how do you use this? thanks

I have used both the Sinclair and the Bersin Tool. I prefer the Bersin, not only because they sponsor my shooting) over the Sinclair and a few others that have come along since. I think that if you would do a SEARCH for Cocentricity Gauge or Tool you'll find alot of posts with the info your looking for.

Hi All, Pic of a gauge i made, does neck to body concentric measurements, case head squareness and loaded round concentric check, all in one guage. JR..Jeff Rogers

I don't quite understand the concept behind the Bersin tool. If you use the tool to straighten a crooked bullet by pushing it to one side, aren't you distorting the neck to accomplish this?

Nice looking tool aJR. I was considering making something similar. A few more photos would be helpful.

chino,

I've heard similar concerns raised from time to time on other forums, you may have been the source of some of them ;) ). On the one hand, what you say makes a certain amount of logical sense. On the other hand... I know some folks who use 'em and swear by 'em, and judging by their results, I don't see the device is hurting them much! Granted, they aren't trying to take ammo with large amounts of runout, say 10-15 thou) and make it perfect; they are taking ammo that is already pretty good,1-3 thou) and making it closer to perfect,0-1 thou).

Wonder how a person would go about testing this subject, testing the necks), as it seems to keep popping up every time concentricity fixing tools come up.
