Ammunition Bill

The bill that is being pushed in 18 states, including Illinois and Indiana) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers.

Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded.

Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011.,Including hand loaded ammo.) They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or mo

If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!

This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington.

Send to your friends in these states AND fight to dissolve this BILL!!
To find more about the anti-gun group that is sponsoring this legislation and the specific legislation for each state, go to:

When will they learn that the goal should be to punish those that commit crimes using guns and not the law abiding sportsmen of this country? After all it is the sportsman that support more convervation efforts and protection for land and wildlife then any of the ANTI-GROUPS!
It is a superficial bandaid meant to apease those interested parties and not a solution to the problem!

I remember seeing this somewhere years ago and it stuck-

guns do not cause crime any more the flies cause garbage!

Here in the U.K we know we have some pretty soft in the head anti-gun Members of Parliament, but oh-boy you guys across the pond have got us beaten hands down for crackpot mental ideas. When is someone going to give the morons who come up with these ideas a slap upside the head.
The bad guys are just going to have bullet casting labs along side the crack labs, and the good guys who home cast bullets for pleasure are going to be punished.
It has been proven time and time again that gun legislation only punishes the law abiding. There is the old saying 'when you take guns from the law abiding only the bad guys will be left holding the guns'.
Here in the U.K. our pistols and auto-loaders were taken from us, now we have hundreds of youths killed every year by non existant pistols/machine pistols etc.
The only way to take guns from the streets is to effectivly police the existing laws on licensing and public carry, and then get rid of the bleeding heart liberal judges and hand out sentences that fit the crime.
Rant over, sorry guys, this is an issue close to our hearts this side of the pond 'cos what you get now we get in 5 years time regardless of the results.

Who needs a gun if your victoms do not have guns. I heard that in GB you guys can not carry a knife longer than three inches.

I truly wish the idiot boxes that come up with this stuff would not get re-elected but we know who is voting them in.

kelbro,

You may want to check, it is on the list and I have the link here: http://www.azleg.gov/legtext/48leg/2r/bills/hb2833p.pdf

As I read it, it is a .005 tax per round, not .05.

people,
we can't even carry any knife even up to 3" without good reason. I'm a farmer but I must make sure I'm not carrying my most useful, don't leave home without it multitool if I call in at a store or I can be arrested. Legislation that is pursued with vigour if a hunter wears his gutting blade but the hoodies get warnings!
I sometimes wonder if a politician could hear a gathering of plain ordinary folk round a dinner table talking if they would realise that we believe society is going south and that we honestly think that it is the politicos fault with all their stupid unenforceable legislation and 'rights for wrong-doers' movements.
These folk are surrounded by kiss ass aids and wanna be types who shield them from knowing just what the peeps on the streets really think of them.
Only by filling the mail boxes and computers of these people and by attending their public meetings and speaking out can we the public hope to correct the high and mighty view that these people, who make judgements that affect our liberty to pursue our legal hobbies and our lifestyles) have of their 'right' to penalise the majority to appease the vocal but few antis.
Use the U.K as an example of the failure to prevent gun crime, we haven't had pistols for a decade but we have gun crime figures that rise every year. Virtually none of these crimes can be attributed to legally owned weapons, yet our polititians are now in the denying the fact stage and refuse to allow us to re-own them even though the figures prove that shooters are the most law abiding members of our community. If someone insults our wives or steals our car, if we react and hit that person, in the U.K we will be charged with assault and have instant revocation of our license to own firearms and have the equivalent of a S.W.A.T team enter our house and take away our firearms. It's like having a policeman looking over your shoulder 24/7 every day.
Sorry, it's late and I'm ranting again. I will be calmer by tomorrow I promise.

It has already been shot down. Never really got off the ground. That's going to be tough to pull off in our 'open-carry' state :)
