Ammo boxes for the 6BR

I remember reading somewhere about ammo boxes for the 6BR that fit well and weren't too long. Does anyone remember that or know where to get some? They were the plastic type like Frankford Arsenal or MTM.

I use MTM R-50 (small rifle)

Plano makes a nice live hinge ammo boxes...

Not sure for the 6BR..try Graf's

J&J makes boxes that are almost perfect. glue in a thin layer of foam to protect the tips.

On Midway you can put in 22BR and the Frankfort Arsenal #512 will come up, and of course they work just as well for any BR case. I think you would be hard pressed to find a better fitting box. And what a difference over using my old MTM 308 boxes with BR cases. Its just a good thing I shoot several 308s, no box shortage hear.
And its about time a box maker came out with a 50 round box specially for the BR loads, I ordered 4 cases, 2 blue for 22BR and 2 smoke for 6BR. (no red yet). I also cut 1/2" foam to fit snugly in the lids. There a vary nice box, and I prefer them to MTM hands down.

I dont know how far out delivery is on the 6BR w/the Blue plastic boxes. My cost went up 3.00 per 100 feb 1 so I'm holding off on ordering until the plastic arrives. Might as well get something for the price increase. Larry in western ky.

Good info. I went with the Frankford boxes, but maybe in the future I will get one of the MTM 100 round boxes.

Empties stay in but I'm using 1/2 inch foam in the lid

if you want carry a lot or protect your precious ammo go to the link provided by the moderator and check out the jandj no. lr175. all foam and holds 175 cartridges and each one is in foam not touching any hard plastic.
