ammo box for the Dasher

Is there any certain brand or style of ammo box that works best for the 6mm Dasher?

I need to order some and would like to order the correct ones.

Thanks.

Hal

The 100 round green MTM box w/handle pictured in Sinclairs catalog, part# 749-002-201SB for 22-250, 6.5x284, to 375 H&H ($13.95)
The adjustable tray sets Dasher brass up where you can get to them easy.

The problem with one size fits all, the fired cases are ever where unless it's a BR box. I wish i could find a 100 box for the BR. family cases......jim

j and j products number L R 175

it holds 175 cases in a foam base. each case is held in the foam, theycant rattle and the bullet cant be damaged.

Just cut a piece of egg crate foam for the box dimensions. They keep the rounds from moving and the empties stay put

I like the MTM R-100 Series, Medium Rifle size. I think it is RM-100. It has a real mechanical hinge, which allows the lid to flop all the way open and stay there. But it is tall enough inside that the empty brass goes everywhere if it gets turned upside down. I think I will cut a piece of foam rubber to fit inside the lid. $4.45 at Graf's. I wish they made them in a taller model that would hold 6.5 x 284.

I use the same boxes Steve Wilson does and I put a foam piece I cut from a big sheet of foam my wife gets from Hobby Lobby, works great, and ammo doesn't rattle, I hate that.

MTM Case Gard 50 PN, RSS50-16T this for the clear green top and black. Still needs a thin foam liner if you have empties primer up. If you travel with empties primer down, the world is a great place. ;)

This is the case I use for the 6brx and Dasher but didn't know about the primer up/down thing. So far the best box for the br improved case I have used.

Pelican 1120; brass won't fall out fired or unfired. Foam is sort of precut and is the ultimate protection. Even floats.

What about these:

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/750180/frankford-arsenal-flip-top-ammo-box-512-22-br-bench-rest-68-remington-spc-762x39mm-50-round-plastic-blue-box-of-10

From personal experience they work great for 6.8 SPC, and are sold for 7.62x39/PPC, 6.8 SPC, and 6mm BR family cases. Cheap too.

And,,,there is always the "Blue Box" the cases came in!

Snap off the piece on the lid and put it in place in the bottom and you have,, a 6BR/6BRX/6 Dasher/6BRDX box that holds 50 shells in safety with bullets up and you can grab the empties you put back in!

I have built my own by using a length of 1/2" CPVC which costs around $3 and some 1/2" OD plastic hose/tubing that fits snugly inside the CPVC. I came upon this by accident when I noticed that a BR/Dasher case fits very nicely inside the CPVC. I can set the length and depth to anything I choose with the hose/tubing. Then I can glue together the CPVC with PVC/CPVC cleaner and cement. I then use very inexpensive recipe card boxes for the main box...they come in different sizes. I can put the loaded rounds in with primers up or down. Just an idea that worked well for me after trying different boxes that just didn't work that well for me. Best wishes in what you finally decide.
