American Reloaders Association

issue #1 was Sept 1963— They shut down sometime in the 70s but i dont know the exact date.
GUN WORLD magazine was founded by Jack Lewis in the late '50s. It was still being published in 2004 or 2005 as I spoke with the editor, Jan Libourel by phone, so it was in business more than forty years.

GW was probably the smallest in circulation of the gun magazines of the era, but they did have fairly good articles, some even of a technical nature, something rarely seen these days. Robert Stack the actor and competitive shotgun champ was on the staff of GUN WORLD for a time. He wrote a shotgun column and maybe an article occasionally. Longtime gunwriter Dean Grennell was also one of the writers.

I'm looking at the bullet profile on the issue No. 52 letterhead. It seems to have no shank; the ogive seems to start at the boattail.

If you have a drop box account, create a folder in it and name it as is appropriate for what you want to scan. On your smartphone, you can open Dropbox, click on the add to folder feature, and"scan" the document with your smartphone. When you go to save it, you can save it as a PDF. You can also keep adding pages after each scan to create a multiple page document.
If my country ass can figure it out, I have confidence any of you guys can

#3 son is the Pacific/Hornady man in the family. I got him one of those Pacific pistol throwers a cpl months ago off evilbay for a decent price. He's going to start making rotors for it in his shop. Just a nice project to get him deeper down in the loading "hole".;)

Thanks for sharing and the pics!
Good for your son. Can you do me a favor? Ask him to make them for the RCBS Little Dandy unit, many more of them out there I would think. Regardless, good project.

GPalman, I use Lyman Accumeasures.... the rotors are pretty durn easy to make. They don't have anything that "has" to be done on a mill(got a Bridgeport)... turn rotor to the OD dimension, drill a cpl small holes in the end,and drill cavities. The Lyman's have dual cavity on most, only the largest have one hole.

The Pacific is even easier as it uses IIRC,3/4" aluminum as the rotor diameter. The Lyman is some non std OD. He can cut to length, hit the end on a belt grinder, punch holes on his DP.

The RCBS requires a milled slot. Not a big deal but, compared to the Pacific for ease of making..... well, there ain't one. The Pacific is by far the easiest.

I second the motion to find some shop that will make Little Dandy Rotor blanks. Make all the cuts and drill a pilot hole. We can drill to size to get the desired weight.
