Am I the only one having this problem?

My target and varmint rifles are single shot. When varminting, I carry my ammo in those nice blue Lapua ammo boxes in which their brass is shipped. In a hurry to fetch a case, I have had the rim of a case hang up in the top hole and have dumped half the box! We chamfer our case mouths for ease of flat base bullet insertion. The edge of the underside of that top hole can be chamfered such that the rim of a case will not get caught. I bought a Sinclair case mouth deburring tool holder(made for Forster and Wilson deburring tools) and inserted a Forster case mouth deburring tool(chamfer) and put it in my drill press. After adjusting for depth of cutting, I chamfered the inside edge of the top opening of these boxes...no more problem. If nobody else has this problem, ignore my post.

I don't use the Lapua boxes, but yes I spill mine once in a while.

A few years ago, I was doing some load testing for a 300 BO. All my 223 sized plastic boxes were full, so I put them in a 308 box. Had a piece of blue tape across the top with the powder charges written on it, 5 of each charge weight.

Worked okay until I unconsciously looked at my watch when holding the box.

This is why when doing load development I always color the primers in the groups of 5 for each separate load. Pick them back up match the colors loads are back together.

A sharpie in the extractor groove and the same color on the bullet will show on the brass AND the target

Just be glad you remembered to take the ammo for each rifle. Too many rifles, not enough ammo.

I carry my ammo in Uncle Mike's "Folding Belt Ammo Carriers" that hook on to my belt. Its quite easy to access and holds the cartridges in place. They hold ten rounds.

I carry five addition rounds in a small zip lock bag in my pocket. That gives me 15 rounds. I have never needed more for ground hog hunting even in the "good old days" when acres of rolling hay fields existed.

I write it in sharpie on the brass, doesnt always stay after firing though.
