I cut my cable off 5 years or so. That is when I confirmed that the tv is a complete waste of time.
The computer, iPhone, etc, is the exact opposite. Learning from the members on this site is a daily experience that mainstream media cant even come close to.
The thing is, the alternative media, is the real media. Where facts can be checked. There is no way to check any 'presented facts' from mainstream media. You are a cow locked in a stanchion. You are eating what they feed you/no questions asked.
I live near Ferguson, MO. The Michael Brown case also confirmed my convictions that the media is in business of selling a narrative, and has nothing to do with the truth or more importantly, personal security. The media portrayal of M.B. in a graduation pic, and not the security camera pic of him robbing a convenience store moments before he tried to kill a law enforcement officer with his own gun.
The alternative websites saw through these lies and proved it. If you are not on social media, in my opinion, you are just putting your head in the sand. By all means, do this if you wish. But there is a lot of bad out here, and the mm is colluding with this
obfuscation. And that is a direct threat to our security in the here and now. Let alone our future generations.
The Royal House of Saud pledged $34 billion, (Billion with a Big 'B') to sell Islam to the west in 2016. How can we imagine the ways they spend that $$ ?? The mm perhaps? Always portraying violent Muslims as victims, 24-7 while being the direct cause of these constant attacks is one way.
We are not at war with a lot of these groups. But these groups are very much at war with us. And for me, social media is the only viable way to discern the facts from 'alternative truths' the mm sells us. We are in a political war. I still have one in my truck, but it's really only used to listen to the local weather reports.
It is a fakey way to send a message to someone when you are too big a coward to talk to them in person or on the phone and don't really want to hear what they have to say.
If I could ever do it for four hours, I'd be calling everyone that I know just to brag. ( but they'd know I was lying anyhow).
I'd be happy with a 4 minute thing!!!!! 4 hours is unreal!!! If I had that.....I'd go around the entire neighborhood and show it to everyone!!!!
