Why are you guys afraid to name the manufacturer? If they're willing to send it out, and willing to stand behind it as acceptable, why can't you say their name? You haven't passed judgement or declared it unsafe, or said their practices were unfair or deceptive. Let the rest of us know, please.

Thanks for your advice. I'm not sure I understand your objections to the original post, or to making the manufacturer known. Once I figure out how this site's PM system works, I'll ask you to explain there.

Actually I'm not afraid to name the manufacturer, but ItchyTF is the original poster and this is his thread and for whatever reason he doesn't wish to name the manufacturer. Therefore, I feel it isn't appropriate for me to "step on his thread" so to speak.

Butch was good enough to send me a thoughtful PM on the subject, including his thoughts on how naming the manufacturer would be counter to the rules. Even if I didn't agree with him on a rule interpretation, I would have to respect his point of view and appreciate his tip to just PM the OP and avoid the potential trouble. And, through the exchange he has taught me how to use the PM function. Thanks Butch!
