Alternative to Berger 30 Cal 175 OTM or Long Range Target

Don't overlook the good old Sierra 190 SMK, cheaper then Berger's juggernaut which would be my first choice. The Sierra 190 was always stupid easy to load for and held it's own against a juggernaut out to 1K very well. It has a very similar front end to the 168 SMK which is known as one of the "if your 308 doesn't shoot it well, your gun is bent" type bullets.

So I would say juggernauts if available and don't mind the extra cost, but 190 smk's are a little cheaper and always seem available regardless of whichever regularly scheduled shortage of components we are in at the time.

What is a good load for the 185?

42.5-43.7 of Varget or N140 and a longer than SAMMI throat (0.160-0.170”). They hold good groups out to 1k y for me.

For practice and even competition, the Sierra 177 gr SMK is a great choice that won't break the bank and do everything you need out to 1,200 yards.

I wish they were more available up here in Canada.

For the 185 Jugg ?
43gr of N-150 for the Summer load here in the desert ,above 90 degrees .
Winter load is 43.4gr of N-150 .
