Alternate Powders for overbore cartridges

I tried 7828 SSC in my 300 WSM. I am no longer a fan.

Any way I can get you to share more information? By saying you're "no longer" a fan implies that you once were? When did you like it and what changed your mind?

I used it at the F-Class World Championship. On day two of the Worlds, it shot great, it even won me a bronze medal at 900 yards. The next day at the team event we were shooting with less time between strings. At 1000 yards, my vertical went from about 6" to about 30".

Next day, I kept gun in the AC all day and it shot fine.

I've found that Alliant PowerPro4000 is so close to RL-22 that I cant tell the difference once its inside the case.
7828 is good as well but prints just a smidge lower at the target when loaded grain for grain.
