I wasn't super clear there- I bought a pizza box of 500 pieces. I sorted them into groups of 75 and 50. One of the 50 round boxes, I shot 2-3 times a week for years. (And some of the groups have never been fired)
They've been shot through 2 different actions and several barrels.
I left it in. After the first firing, seating primers gets easier. I think leaving it in will make the pockets last longer. It does, however, give you a different feel when seating them.Primer pockets have a ridge (or something)) at the bottom. Take it out with the uniforming tool or leave it?
Cool, thanks for the clarification!
Have you ever needed to run the cases through a small base or ring die to get them to fit a new barrel properly? I've had to do that few times over the years, and I just wondered if the harder heads on the OCD brass would make that not a viable option any more.
