Alpha Brass Prep Compared to Lapua or Peterson?

At a minimum I debur the Alpha. I have loaded a few thousand and they all have had pronounced lips on the case mouth. In some instances I run a mandrel to lighten the neck tension. I have found their primer pockets are too tight to accept my uniformer but I am not complaining about that! :)
If you don't mind? but what/who's uniformer are you using?

Do not want to de rail this thread , how does Alpha brass compare to the unobtanium LA Pua brass ?
If Alpha is available, that would offset the price.!

Thank you.
Granted I have only been working with this brass for 2 firings now. I am of the opinion this may be as good as Lapua, perhaps a bit better in terms of longevity. Will take some time before the jury is fully in.

6 ARC. Gas gun , or Bolt action . ?

Thank you.!
Bolt Action.

Started working with Hornady book load data for bolt action this afternoon for 90 gr GMX. Using the 90 GR CX. The Leverevolution data offers 32.3 grains as a max load that was producing 3050 FPS from Hornady's 24" test barrel, for their bolt action data.

I was using 1 grain less than the max listed charge and getting 3117 average velocity from my 22" Pacnor barrel. Bolt lift was sticky & the CCI 450 primers were starting to pierce. Case swipes were experienced as well. Temperatures were roughly 84 degrees w high humidity.

Just to be clear pressures were high. Aside from the case swipes & pierced primers, on a few cases no other pressure signs were evident. The following load primer pockets are still tight.

You can rest assured I will be backing off on this load.

How does the Alpha brass compare in case capacity. Did you measure that.

Lever seems to be the leader for 6 ARC for velocity, Hornady 11th edition max for Gas gun 29.7 grains Lever with 110 A tip shoots great . 26 in Bartlein barrel. Qwick load says it's not a safe load. No signs of overpressure CCI 400 primers no problem Starline brass.

Did blow out a primer with 6/ 7 times fired Hornady factory brass testing with Varget, Middle of line grain amount.
To all a great weekend.!

In a rather crude way I did a quick comparison. I do not have a syringe to fill the cases w water. What I did do is fill 3 fired cases level to the top w Leverevolution. I do not think there is more than two tenths of a grain difference between the 3 case head stampings. Alpha seems to have the least capacity.

Had to be wall thickness .. What was C O A L. for bolt action. I'm sure it was ,or is close to compressed load.

29.7 Leverevolution is said not safe to run with qwik load on gas gun. I rely on their powder engineers, and attorneys , to assume it is safe.

I don't care who's brass it is.
I perform the same things with all new brass.
Run in the tumbler for 30 minutes.
Clean.
Full length size.
Uniform primer pocket.
Check trim.
Camfer & deburr.
Uniform & deburr flash hole on both sides.

I've had Nosler brass where all this is supposedly done, that didn't HAVE a flash hole.
