Alpha Arms Dallas Texas?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me about this manufacturer. I have a small youth model 243 bolt action that is engraved Alpha II and marked Dallas Texas. I have been told that this was a semi custom manufacturer that went out in the 70's and the action has a square shroud like a Sako. Was thinking of using the action for a build as the stock is too short for me and the rifle isn't getting any use. Does anybody know if this action would be foot printed for a readily available aftermarket stock?

Should I just leave it as is?

Any value?

Les Brooks would know a lot about them. He posts on the gunsmith forum at "Accurate Reloading" you might give him a PM there.

Wasn't Homer Koon the original gun mfg.? Also made Omega rifles and the Snake Charmer guns?
