Alpha 6 Dasher Brass Primer Pocket

Has anybody noticed a small band of brass at the bottom the primer pocket? I was experimenting with uniforming the pockets and noticed a very small band of brass at the bottom of the pocket and don't know if that is a design thing or a manufacturing mistake.
