Almost fully recovered from recent medical procedure.

Congrats! I had a complete vitreous detachment @ 4 years back, it has left me with a large central floater. Ive been told that I’m high risk for a retinal detachment if I undergo a vitrectomy due to my severe myopia. I’m hoping that technology can advance to successfully treat it. Lazing doesn’t seem a stretch…

Yeah, I was advised that the lazer zapping has advanced - it literally, "vaporizes" the floaters. My Doc does the vitrectomy - I watched a video of this procedure - pretty brutal looking! The bubble (insurance against retinal detachment)has shrunken substantially - probably completely absorbed in couple of days.

Living with the [dominant eye] bubble proved interesting and mildly debilitating. It was, for a while, a useful,
"built-in" magnifier, however, it was mostly distracting and wrecked [near] depth perception. This AM, looking straight down and centering, the bubble subtends about the width of my foot - just two days ago, it still obliterated an area of about three feet in diameter.

Vision is remarkably good.:D

Your situation is unenviable - the medical treatments are remarkable, and keep getting better - best of good fortune to you in having your vision restored to normal.

Thank you all for your, "best wishes". Good shootin'! RG
