Alloy Loading Blocks

Rick in Oregon

I was in the Nosler pro shop today cruising about good things, and noticed an interesting addition; anodized alloy loading blocks.

Not that I needed any more loading blocks, still having a set of wooden ones acquired circa 1970, and other more recent alloy versions too, but 'hey', these were too cool to not bring home to dress up my loading bench a tad.

A few recently loaded 20VT's loaded with 32gr Varmageddon's over RL-7 for contrast. They'll get put to use very, very soon......:D

They show up on the Nosler web site, albeit out of stock but...
Currently offered in three size options:
- .390” Hole Diameter- (fits .223, .204 etc.)

- .485” Hole Diameter- (fits.22-250, .243, .308, .30-06 etc.)

- .547” Hole Diameter- (fits 300 Win Mag, 7 RUM, 300 Wby, 300 WSM etc.)

They reflect a $35 cost which really for a machined block from an aluminum billet isn't that bad for those who can't easily roll their own. If they are deep enough they should help keep the cartridges at a somewhat uniform temperature.
