Alliant Powder -- Availability Concerns

I’m through with using it. Great powder but very spotty availability. Why would I develop loads for powder I’m not likely to replenish?

I saw the price. Stick to ADI (Hodgdon's to you) Although I would love to try some R15 in the BR and the Dasher, but It's not worth the aggravation.

I'm converting to Vihtavuori--available, reasonable price (at least in these times) and generally good powder.

Hodgdon and VV going forward. As I run out of Alliant powders I'll be testing out replacements from those brands. Which sucks, because I'd largely focused on Alliant powders for 20 years.

I too used Alliant powders since I started reloading.

Luckily I was able to get a few of the larger jugs before they were gone.

But like others, I'm gradually switching over to Vihtavouri.
Again, available and decent price (dare I say lowest price in some cases).

Put the cross on Alliant a couple of years ago. Can't find any and when you do crazy price. As I exhaust what I have I am going to VV as much as I can.

I love the Alliant powders - but the new "availability" with the new pricing is disturbing. I saw some Reloader 22 at just under $80.00 per pound. Seriously? I remember when the VV powders were unavailable, and everyone switched powders. Now the trend seems to be reversing once again. Glad I have at least some on reserve to last me a few years before I am faced with what powder to look at once again.

I'm now running Hodgdon, VV, and some Norma MRP (I have 4lbs)
