All Shoters: Why do you shoot/compete?

I shoot F class! I have always enjoyed competition and needed a sport that a beat body could handle. Once I got involved in the sport and began knowing the people I fell in love with both. The F Class shooters are my family and I love them. I would spend time with my shooting family even if I could not shoot but I can and that makes it even better!

I like it because perfection is unattainable....there is always something to try to make the group smaller. Even if you don't have the winning recipe, someone will show you that they have it. Competition drives perfection.

Shooting and reloading for shooting just in general for me is very enjoyable. i just retired, and it's a great activity for a retired guy.

i got into F/TR and F Open shooting because i enjoy competition in general and really like any kind of challenge. i was involved in Technical Diving (diving using closed circuit rebreathers, deep, cave, wrecks ) for many years, but i am now a bit too old to do that kind of diving and the amazing challenges it provided that i enjoyed so much.

another huge plus for these types of activities is the camaraderie among those also involved

I ask this question to better understand what brings us out to the Range. I operate Cool Acres located in Ga. and strive hard to provide a Safe, fun and positive experience for all the shooters. Hopefully I can obtain some feedback here that will assist growth at this range as well as others. Also if you shoot f-class, Prs, Benchrest or some other format please share and tell what you like about it?

Good question, I’m going to answer it in another light.... shooters come to matches for a variety of reasons depending on what level they seek. Naturally a do-all is necessary for a great match...

Organization is a strong foundation to work with... priority one!
#2 reward and recognition attracts competition and creates in club achievement.
Comradeship and participation comes from the match directors enthusiasm for the sport. Period!... a following will result.

We'll I have met some really good people an some not so good but I try an not let that sidetrack my goals I still enjoy the shooters an camaraderie with the most of them where I shoot.
