Airglide Will Hold a Benchrest Rifle with Wide Fore-end and 28″ Barrel
If you've got a wide-forearm rifle this is one of the very best transport options. Measuring 51 1/2″L x 7 3/4″W x 12 1/4″H, the AirGlide can handle rifles up to 49.5″ in length. That should hold BR rifles with barrels up to 29″ (or 28″ if you have a thick recoil pad). With its 27.5″ barrel, my 6BR is exactly 48″ long (including pad) and there is about 1.5 inches to spare in an Airglide. If you have a real long barrel (29" or longer) or extended buttplate, measure the gun first.

Thanks Rick. It's too bad Airglides aren't long enough for a 30-32" barrel, but for most guns up to 28" or so, they'll work. There's also room inside the cases to put target papers and other stuff.

One thing I like about Airglides is you can set 'em on the ground beside your bench and they're tall enough they don't fill with dust and dirt as a conventional case can when placed on its side.

A little extra room can be had by trimming a little off the bottom side of the foam block the forearm sits in. mine are trimmed to where the muzzle is about 1" off the bottom of the case.This gives extra room for the scope and a little more barrel. If you look at my new rifle on the 6BR improved at jimo's low rider, that gun is sitting in one right now and it's a 30" with a brake.......jim

You're right. Amazon is showing sold out at the $34.00 w free shipping. But Amazon is allowing back-orders still at the $34 + free s/h price, with delivery in 3-4 weeks. Inventory expected March 7.

You have to click "More Buying Choices" to back-order @ $34.00.

Justin, the commission is not exact as it floats based on total items sold. But we should make about $2.20 per Airglide sale. On a $100 item we might make five or six bucks.

Yes, if a user starts a shopping session through ANY Amazon link on this site (you MUST go through a link first), we get credit for sales. With nearly 17,000 Forum members now, if more guys would start their Amazon shopping sessions here, we could significantly enhance site revenue. An extra $100/day would permit me to (finally) hire a full-time assistant editor to do tests and produce more Cartridge Guides. That would be a HUGE benefit to all site visitors. Think of the scope and depth of our articles archive currently ... now imagine we could potentially double that output with another full-timer.
