Air Rifle Competition - where to start

My daughter is a high school junior and has expressed some interest in competing in women's air rifle at the college level. I have to admit that I'm absolutely clueless about getting her started. While I know this isn't an air gun forum, could anyone here point me in the right direction? Most of my searches don't really give me a lot of info on what's involved or the right equipment to use for a new shooter. Appreciate any help.

that forum is what you're looking for, but its a bit slow. I'm a collegiate shooter myself. NCAA shooting is both air rifle and smallbore rifle (.22 rimfires). Junior year is a bit late to get started, it'll take some serious dedication to catch up to shooters who have been heavily involved since middle-school.

Mark - thanks for the link, I'll certainly so some research on it. I do know that she's starting very late in the game, but now that she's interested I thought it might be worth checking out.

GTA.com, Pyramydair.com, Americanairgunner.com.

Hope this helps.
I have been on the edge of starting the hobby myself. Hunting though with PCP airguns. Good Luck.
