Air cure cerakote

I got a A5 stock that is just black and has a few dings and scratchs so i repaired them and am thinkn about a new finish in the air cure cerakote.
The “sponge” type camo thats on my manners is nice and thinkn thats what I want as a pattern. Any experiance with this product and any idea to get similiar results as manners does? Thanks in advance!

Automotive paint
Spray ground color let dry use a single stage paint with catalyst.
Scuff finish with a scotchbrite.
Now use base coat colors with a sponge.
Clear with matte clear.
Dont forget to mask of bedding.
This will probably be more durable than air dry cerancoat.

Air cure cerakote will work great. Lay your base coat let it flash (30 minutes is good), then use your first sponge color, flash, then other sponge color, flash etc. When all finished let it ambient cure room temp for 24-48 hours. Then you are good to go.

The chemical resistance on C-Series cerakote is much better than Sherwin Williams PolaneT or Duracoat.

C-Series cerakote however, is a much thinner paint, so your stock surface will need to be prepped better, as the paint will not hide any imperfections as good as the others will. If your McM or Manners stock is painted already by them, you can de-grease and scuff lightly with some scotchbrite and cerakote over the existing paint. Since cerakote is so thin you will still have the texture feel from the factory paint.

These couple were done with C-Series cerakote over new factory painted Manners stocks. Not sponged though.

I like the use of positives and negatives, the dark with light really pops.

Go to hobby n craft store, find various sponges some natural ones tear them into various shapes n sizes and play with it a little.
Then your gonna say to yourself that was easy

Thats good stuff. Hardened base coat also works well.

OP, Mcmillan does something they call "transition" that you many like, they will repaint their stocks pretty cheap.
