AICS ´magasine

Since nobody responded, here is some "speculation" on my part. :)

The 7.62x39 is the same case as a 220 Russian (different bullet diameters), which is also closely related to 6PPC which is closely related to 6BR. :-) So, any discussions that pertain to feeding the 6BR should also relate to feeding a 7.62x39: with the 7.62 probably feeding better than the 6PPC/6BR because of a less abrupt neck/shoulder junction.

I was able to get a 6BRX to feed pretty well from a 223REM AICS magazine and it was easy to modify the polymer magazine. No changes were required to the follower or spring: big plus. I'd get a 223REM mag and give that a go. They are relatively in-expensive and very easy to modify with a dremel and file.

I would doubt it because of the relatively high amount of taper of the case -- notice that AK magazines are curved. For the same reason, 7.62x39 doesn't feed that great out of an AR, because the part of the magazine that goes into the magwell has to be straight.

Thanks for the replys.

Its for a boltaction rifle, I´m considering either a barnard sm action or a sako 75/85 action
