AGS Annealer

Just got the AGS annealer and boy is it compact! Anyway, trying to set it up and I have a question. I am using the small 1 lb propane bottle and was wondering if the position of the bottle(upright/on its side) has any bearing. Thanks.

In my experience if you have the bottle on its side it won't stay lit. I think because the liquid will get to the nozzle.

You don't want the liquid propane running out of the bottle in any way. So, keep it upright so that only the gas exits the bottle and it should work without any issues.

Expanding gas will cool both 1lb. and 20lb. bottles, leading to inconsistent output. You may have to find a way to keep them warm, especially in cooler conditions.

Bottles work best when setting upright. If the annealer won’t allow this with the small bottles, consider buying a nozzle having a flexible hose.
