Again... where are the Berger 200.20x?

Saw the similar thread a couple months ago but nothing recently. My first order last winter for 400 rounds to try it out and do load development is close to gone and will be after Grayling next week.

Been watching every supplier mentioned in the previous string and have a bulk backorder in for six weeks now so I'm starting to get nervous. I can hear it now - "always buy 1000+" so you develop a load for each batch. Got it.

Here's a question- is there something wrong? Maybe related to the acquisition? Seems like early May is not the time to be out for this long.

As the author of one of those previous threads you made reference too, I certainly feel your pain. I did a quick search on approximately 20 popular sites, and I found no available stock.

Btw, I've been using them for 600yd FTR, and they've been performing exceptionally well - I hope you find stock soon!

Received today from Berger:

Our apologies for this. We have added new machines and revised our set up procedures which have helped immensely in shortening lead times but we are not quite to where we want to be on this yet. The 200.20x bullets are being run right now and should be available by the end of May at the very latest. If you can get them on back order from your vendor I would suggest you do so. BULLETS.COM , Sinclair International, RELOADING INTERTNATIONAL, and Bruno’s Shooters Supplies would be good places to start. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at any time. Thanks for using our bullets

Bergers popular target bullets have always cycled through the process of a release, and then sold out shortly after they hit the shelves until the next run.

Can't help you now, but you posted your own answer for the future:

When I first heard of them I thought I was being aggressive being the dead of winter here in MI by buying 400 assuming 100 to build the load, a 100 for 600 practice and then some for the first two 600 matches. Didn't expect they would be out for this long.
Put the bulk order on backorder in early March - that's where it seems to have proven me late. Warm winter here means I knew for certain this was my bullet in early February and should have stepped up then.

Bergers usually stay in stock for about 30 days then they are often gone for 6 months or more, unless you buy 2000, then they come back in 60 days

Many of us have probably encountered a supply issue on critical components from time to time. When it comes to Berger bullets this post taught me two lessons:
1) Buy 1000+ from same lots. Test the load (definitely powder increments and even jump) to verify where your nodes are. Thanks to those respondents here that help turn my light bulbs on with this one.
2) E-mail Berger customer service. They quickly responded with a straight answer on when the next production run was due and approximate lead time to availability. It might not be what you want to hear but it helps with the anxiety.
