AG Composite stocks?

Ryan,

I asked the same question a while back.......crickets.

They look great to me, but I`ve never held one...

I`ll be following to see what you get for responses, if you decide to jump in and get one, please let us know how you like it.

I have some that I bought when i couldn't get any manners eh1 stocks. Now I have a ton of manners stocks and don't need the stockys. I have 2 of the long action carbon fiber stocky's stocks for 350 shipped apiece. They aren't worth the 500 retail price as its not much less than a manners. However for sub 400 stock theyre not bad. pm me if you guys are interested in them.

How big of a hand will the grip accept?????

I have big ~ ish hands......

Measurement from trigger guard screw to bottom of the grip / stock would give me an idea.

I have one on my custom 338-375 Ruger built on a Rem 700 Ultra Mag action (Long action). Had to grind down my recoil lug as well as deepen the recoil inletting on the stock to get the fit. Otherwise the fit was good.

The stock is extremely rigid and ultra light weight. Before bedding and after all the inletting was complete, it weighed in right at 22 oz. This helped cut weight significantly on my rifle from the 4 lb stock it had on it previously.

Finish is very aesthetically pleasing and expertly applied, but after only 4 days of packing my rifle in the mountains on my shoulder, there is a spot where the finish has worn off on the side of the comb where it was contacting my hip when hiking. Plan on contacting AG Composites about the issue when I get back home at the end of this month.

I paid right at $400 shipped for my stock when stockys first brought them onboard. For the price, I think it's pretty good. Not too crazy about the issue with the finish wearing off, but the strength/weight ratio of the stock will easily rival any Manners stock out there. So I'm pretty happy with the purchase.
