After Deer season

Gary in MD

Just finished a little after season project on a deer, along with a couple of other poor man’s mounts that I did LOL. Only cost was the synthetic skulls. I can’t see spending $600 on a mount (especially on smallish bucks) that’s a lot of bullets and brass :p
I’ve got them hanging out in the workshop.

Actually I have come to prefer this presentation. I had one professionally mounted 30 years ago, and have several mounts inherited from relatives - most from the '50's and they are a PITA to try to maintain.
I have seen the new fad of dipping the skull to transfer paint in a camo pattern, but I still prefer the natural look.

I think you are right, the heads that I have mounted on the wall in the house are dust magnets.
