Advice on fast twists 6BR's

I got 4 6BR's all long range set-ups and all barrels are
8 twists.. None seem to shoot 87 vmax's or anyother
light varmint bullet very well. They will shoot 1/2 MOA but
I would like better, guess I'm spoiled w/ 1/4MOA or
less w/ heavy bullets==
Is this twist just too many rpm's or what..??
All rifles shoot 105-108 into bugholes but I want to use a
couple of them,light wt. varmint bullets)
for PDin' long range w/ the blowup
of a varmint bullet.. Is there such a thing as over
stabilization?? nothing under 95 shoot good except
80gr Fowlers and they don't expand well on PDs. Any
comments appreciated..
thanks

PS..it will prolly get flamed by know it all's who have never tried the lil stuff..or even had an 8 twist bbl...

i have the same twist in my 6 br.

And like yourself my rifle loves the 107 mk's.
I regularly get 1.5" or less groups at 300 yards. One think my smith warned me very clearly, is that this twist will disapoint you if you are trying to shoot tight groups at 100 yards. Now i've researched this caliber to death and gthe general consensus is that a fast twist will shoot every grain of bullet very well. Have you tried longer range paper groups with your v-max's? The thing is, a 1-8 twist will have a longer freebore than a 1 in 14. So the shorter bullets will not be able to be seated in the lands. I do think you can still seat the 75 gr + in the lands though, I can. I have tried the a-maxes and also the v-maxes, and like you was not happy with the performance. For longer range varmints i currently shoot the 80 gr nosler ball tips. My 100 yard agg's with those is about .35".My aggs with the hornady's is .65",crappy). The faster twist also reduces the lighter bullets speed. for short range PD hunts i use the hornady 58gr v-maxes but get 3500fps out of them, slower than with 1in14 twists. I get about .55' aggs with those.
