Advice on a new scope for my new deer rifle

I love the Leupold VX5 3-15 with Firedot. That Firedot feature lets me kill those big black hogs in very dim light. Black crosshairs on a black hog wasn’t working too well for me.

If you want an illuminated reticle, be sure it dials down to barely visible in dark woods. The adjustable brightness Firedot is perfect. Also good is the illuminated reticle on my Athlon Midas 2.5-15.
I upgraded to the same scope from a 4.5x14 40 and love the extra light that I get with the 3x15.

I am a Sightron fan and in my collection are 4STac models. But, not on a deer rifle as reticles are to fine and dot too small. For what its worth I have had a Firedot since they came out . I hve shot 4 bucks in early or fading light. Never even thought of turning on the Firedot until they flopped on the ground. Shame on me, I guess.

I went from Leupold VX-6 2-12 LRD (dots) scopes on my elk rifles to the Vortex Razor LHT 3-15 (mil). I think they're the perfect mag range, lightweight, excellent glass, reliable dialing, and the illuminated dot is perfectly done.
A $3000 Zeiss or Swaro might be a touch better optically, but I usually bring 3+ elk rifles when I go and I can't afford 3+ of those scopes!
