Adjusting the Kimber 8400 Trigger

Hey guys,

I would like to adjust the trigger on my Kimber Pro varmint .204 to a lighter weight. I have done this on all my rifles and a couple of mates rifles as well. I have a 1 & 1/2 pound pull on my other rifles, the Kimber is 3.5 according to my trigger pull gauge which is a little more than what I personally prefer.

Which of the screws on the front of the trigger housing do I need to alter and do I back the screw out or in to decrease the trigger weight?

Sorted!!

After looking at the trigger, consulting my Kimber manual and deciding that it looked similiar to the Remington 700 trigger, I backed the very bottom screw out. Trigger breaks at a fraction under 2 pounds. Feels much better now.

Brought some 39gr Sierra BK's, Hornady Dies & Federal 205M primers. I have a quantity of BLC,2) on hand so I'm set for a loading session tonight, with another all day range session on Sunday. Can't come around fast enough!

Cheers,

Michael.
