Adjusting a two stage Bix’n Andy into a single stage

I have a good B&A two stage trigger here and I fitted it to my Vudoo benchrest rifle. I’d like it to function as a single stage at a few ounces pull, if that’s possible.

I adjusted the first stage travel down to very little but when I try to go further the trigger sear won’t engage.

Before I adjust the sear engagement setting, I want get an idea if this is even possible. I won’t be upset if it won’t happen.

You can eliminate the first stage travel by screwing in the first stage travel adjustment.
That adjustment screw is the front screw on the actual trigger shoe not the screw in
the housing.

Yeah that’s the screw I’ve been adjusting for first stage travel. Mine is the comp model but I think the internals are identical in function.

Looking at that video is helpful, it seems to show the first stage screw adjusts pretty coarsely and I would need to get the trigger shoe to just kiss the bottom sear lever without pushing on it at all. Or I need to leave a tiny amount of first stage travel to ensure it doesn’t push the bottom sear.

I know the Tacsport single and two stage triggers very well, the comp triggers not so much. I do not believe they are the same internals.
