I just picked up a new model 70 featherweight in 243 win. It is gorgeous and the fit and finish is great. Any way, trying to figure if I should get a scope with an AO or not worry about it. I would like to be able to do everything from punch paper to jack rabbits and coyotes maybe even mule deer. I heard that AO lets you correct for parallax, when present, which of course has an effect on accuracy. Out to 400 yds do I need to be concerned about this or will some of the newer scopes that are "parallax free" take care of this?
Educate me please.

great gun and cal. you picked ! my scope pick for that combo would be a 4.5 X 14 A O Leupold with varmint reticule ,Ive only had to send 2 back to Leupold both were 2nd hand that I bought off flea bay. Leupold took care of them no ? at all, my shipping cost out there was only expense.
