Add load port to Borden BRMXD

I have a buddy with a BRMXD who wants to add a load port. Making a hole is easy enough, but is there any risk of the action twisting/bending?

Not hard at all. Borden uses 416 for their action bodies, which has very good machining qualities.

I’m not sure to what RC Hardness they temper them. But I would venture a guess that all of the finished work is performed post heat treat.

If you use good sharp tools and coolant, Cutting a port should have no affect on the machined accuracy of the action.

I've done a couple in the past. I prick punch the area to be
milled out. If you don't make any kind of impression, just use
a carbide cutter. I never needed one though.
