Action wrenches

Is one action wrench better than the other? Looking for advice on which style to purchase for a SA Remington? Thanks

This one?

Brownell's doesn't have the wrench I now use. It's a stout cast devil that came with a T-handle. I extended each side with pipe. Also I can show you my scare from hernia surgery trying to break a Remington barrel loose.
A relief cut in front of the recoil lugs helps a lot. Also having a block that captures the recoil lug preventing the barrel from spinning helps. Also my barrel vise is a 20 ton automotive press.

I think supporting the rearward part of the wrench that attaches to a breaker bar is a nice plus also. Buy that I mean having say a 2"x4" cut to length from the floor to the bottom side of the rear of the wrench for support. Good or bad idea ?

any thoughts
i have both and I to wouldnt use an inside the boltway action wrench to break a factory 700 barrel loose. I use a brownells barrel vise and action wrench for that. there may be better but thats the idea and i have always been able to get them loose.

I actually just had someone have this happen using a internal wrench on a factory barrel View attachment 1186472

Was that from the inside tool not being inserted to the bolt lug area. Because I could almost see someone trying to break free the action with the tool inserted just at the rear of the receiver around the trigger part and definitely twisting the action. I just can't see the action being that twisted if the tool is ran all of the way in to the bolt lug area. I mean at that point the actual twisting area should be just in front of the tool by maybe a 1/2" - 3/4" right? Or am I missing something?

I guess I'll be buying both wrenches. And a recoil lug alignment tool. Unless I just purchase another Gary Eliseo chassis, then I wont need the recoil lug tool because his chassis comes with a 360* washer lug. No alignment necessary.

LWP where are you located. Maybe someone close to you has the right tool and would do you a solid.
