action sleeve question

I am getting close to finishing up an aluminum sleeve for a receiver. Just a few more cuts then mill out an ejection port, trigger slot and make a bolt stop/ejector, my question is I cut the I.D. to .008" over to allow for adhesive or bonding agent. What is the most common compound used for bonding the receiver to the sleeve and allowing them to be seperated at a later time. I think I read some where that the sleeve is heated for the seperation process.

This is my first sleeve so it's a learning curve.

Thanks for any advice.

I believe most use JB Weld. I don't think it is intended to make them removable. I had to take one out once, where I didn't use JB and it broke loose, and still it wasn't easy by any means.

Use caution if you plan on gluing it into a stock, for the same reason.
