Action screws

On a Hall action the screws are metric correct?
I ran into a issue with with my trigger guard and action screw.
I was told to call Bat and get a new trigger guard with single screw hole and new screws. However I don't see any metric action screws just standard

If I remember correctly the action screws on the Halls I had were on the small side and I want to say they were 10-32 thread pitch. The only rifle I have that is comparable is a Searcy benchrest action but I know for sure that on has 1/4X28 action screws.

10-24 and 3/16-24 are the same

One thing to keep in mind is how close M5 and #10 are. Only about 7 thou difference.
The other one that is nasty is M8 and 5/16".
Having said that, it is not a metric screw. It should have a strength class stamp on the head if it was.

I still prefer calipers and thread pitch gauges for male thread identification. I have watched guys thread a 1/4" nut onto an M6 capscrew and proclaim it 1/4". Even when it's stamped 12.9 on the head and mikes .234".
Identifying female threads is a different ball of wax, however.

Back to the OP's question....unless they've been altered from 'as manufactured' by Hall they are 10/32's.

The screw in the picture is what's termed a flat headed cap screw.
