Hello everyone
I’m going to build a 22BR for my annual prairie dog trips. I plan to have a barrel done by Brad at Urban Rifleman. So I’m looking for a 700 footprint type action. Needs to be a repeater right bolt would prefer a left load if possible. The rifle won’t see a lot of use but needs to preform on my trips. I would appreciate your thoughts as well as your justifications.

Thank you
Kevin

What advantage would a left load be on a repeater?
Everything on the right is also a better safety option for a right hand shooter.

Evo ii or Origin.

I don’t care what the Evo ii costs, it outperforms actions that cost a lot more.
I recommended the Origin because it has a better ignition than the TL3.

I built a BAT SV, RBLP. Love the action, but honestly, being a RR guy all my life I find it slower and more awkward to single load from the left. More a habit than anything.

The BAT is a great action.

But if you want a 700 print just find a 700. RBRP has worked forever.

The Kauger CRSII I recently chambered a barrel for, impressed me by its fir, finish, feel, price & leadtime. Reading that Alex had worked with Kauger on the ignition system, and having worked with this one, makes me likely to pick this action when I decide I need another rifle for myself.

I was speaking with Brad just yesterday and he recommended a Kauger, McBros or an Origin. He spoke highly of the Kauger.

That’s fine. Has nothing to do with what magazine setup he uses.
My point is does the O.P know exactly what he needs if he's dead set on a repeater 700 foot print.
Hes talking about a prefit barrel does he know exactly what he needs or can modify BDL metal to make it work.
Personally I shoot all my sage rat and P.D rifles single shot so it doesn't matter to me

Stay far away from PTG

If you’re going to have Brad do the barrel then go with Kauger. He’s a big fan and has a lot of experience and builds with them

I have 5 of the Kauger CRS. My wife has two VPR. Have one CRS for the boys and my buddy Kip has a CRS. Honestly, these are the best I've tested so far. I do recommend order the heavy spring in the CRS.

In this price range, Origin or Nucleus is probably second. Followed by Mac Bros.

I've made more shouldered Prefits for the Kaugers than anything else.

The number benchrest action my customers buy going away is the Kauger BR/BR2 for the Revolution stock.

Do you see an advantage to going with the CRS with trigger hanger over the one without? I don't see any info on their site, but I'm assuming they have different hangers to time them?
