I am sure that a Hall would fit the bill just fine for what you have in mind. Bear in mind that the LV designation comes from short range benchrest and will mean little for the things that you are contemplating. A competition light varmint rifle has a maximum weight of 10.5# with scope. Many field varmint rifles weigh more, and if the type of competition that you contemplate does not have this limit, you would be lighter than you need to be to no advantage, except perhaps for carrying in the field, which a competition stock is a little clunky for, if you are going to walk far, and shoot of of improvised rests.
