Does any make an action for a 22 Hornet?

I've had Hornet based wildcats off of CZ and Ruger 527 actions for a number of years. The CZ worked out fair, but my favorite by far is a BAT SV with a Hornet boltface. Attached is my .20 Mink my favorite shorter range GS rifle. Farley made two Firefly actions with a Hornet boltface as far as I can determine. I know who owns the other one. If you decided on a BAT SV you'll wait a while though. Good luck on your decision. 7315br

I have a CZ 527 that I had a nice Lilja bull barrel installed, then I bedded it bedded it into a HS Precision graphite stock. Total cost around $2,000 w/o scope. Easily shoots 1/4" MOA in wind-free conditions using V-Max, Berger and Hornady NTX bullets. My latest VR BAT action sits in front of me and cost $1578.00. like the other BATS I have - I know it will shoot well. But how much better than 1/4" MOA with varmint bullets? If you decide between these two - you don't need to pay the BAT price to get good varmint accuracy. BUT, if money is not a driving factor - get the BAT because it is just plain nice in every respect, can hang some nice triggers on it and the bolt doesn't feel like it is grinding down a gravel road when you work it. And I do like stainless. You will, as another noted, be waiting on the BAT for a while. I'd plan on minimum 3 or 4 months. Mine was more like 5, but pandemic likely caused longer than normal wait. If you just want a field-duty, accurate rig, maybe look for a used 527 and yank the barrel and bed it.

Alternative to the Hornet ballistic madness is a 223 loaded with Blue dot, 40-45-50-55g bullets.

I have owned Ruger, Browning, and Kimber 22 hornets.

Any 223 with blue dot is one heck of a lot easier solution...in SPADES!!!

I will give the blue dot in a 223 a try. I already have a couple of them.

But don't forget the 221 Fireball, could be the best of both worlds in factory brass.
