So here’s what I understand, I believe.
Metal chassis stocks like my MPA, are accurate up to a point, but aren’t “dead” so are not used in the majority of bench rest stocks.
So I am looking for a “near bench rest” stock, competition style stock, something composite or wood that has a generally flat forend that can be shot off a bench and a butt that is shoot able that is not the toothpick style pure bench rest style.
I’ve read post after post, and it seems that there may be several like this, but then I don’t have a good smith locally for bedding, so started looking at mini chassis, and was wondering if they fall into the class of very accurate, or just kind of accurate?
So are there certain stocks I should be looking at that work well with a RimX that will help me achieve high levels of “near bench rest” accuracy that do not require a gunsmith to custom bed?
Thanks!
