Accurate 6 MM Remington Load Recommendations

I recently purchased an ANIB Remington 40-X 6 MM Remington, and the caliber is new to me. Does anyone have any pet loads for shooting 100-yard competition?

I understand that my 6 PPC will probably outshoot it, but I wanted to try the caliber.

My thanks in advance for any help!

IIRC 4350 and a 70 grain Sierra HP. I'll try to look it up later exactly.

Don't underestimate the 6 Rem. Ive shot several in 40X and they can certainly shoot. The issue is finding brass that is decent. When you do, run it through primer pocket squaring and check the primer hole for burrs.

repeater or single shot? wood stock? flat or rounded safety?

Is this a 1-10 twist rate?
IIRC, the 6mm Rem is the .244 Rem re-born with a faster twist. Originally Rem thought the .244 was for varmints & gave it a 1-12 twist. Hunters wanted it to be a medium game round so it became the 6mm with a faster twist & just a bit more spunk than Win's .243. I'm pretty sure my Rem 700 VS 6mm is a 1-9 twist. I know it shoots tiny groups with 100 gr bullets. I haven't messed with it lately, but 4350 works best in my 6mm. Norma 205 was the ultimate - super accurate & high velocities, but sadly no longer available.

Ruger #1 1977 model.
IMR 4350 w/ 90 grn. Scirocco It's a #1. It's better than minute of deer.

Sierra manual recommends the following.
Accuracy load 90 grn. FMJBT IMR 4064 start 37.6 and max @ 39.0
107 grn. HPBT H4831SC 43.5

As published in Sierra manual #5. Please start lower and work up.

vn 550 highest velocity without pressure and super accuracy .... or win760 shot a lot of good loads with 760 75 vmax gave me best groups....... a friend likes the 87 v max better......
I never shot match bullets in 6mm rem but i think any of the 66 or 68 gr fb target bullets would be dynamite in the 6mm if you want to compete at 100 yards....
I'm pretty sure rem went to 1/9.25 twist when went to calling it the 6mm remington....
I have had a 6mm rem or 244 rem since 1986 love the 6mm rem..... for me easier to load for than 243 win...

I have a 6mm Rem. AI built by Richard Franklin and with a stout load of IMR 4831 & a 87 gr bthp they go into one hole. I make the brass from 7x57 Mauser Norma brass.

Sierra 75gr hollow point varmint bullets and IMR 4895 or H4895. Start low and work up to around 43gr watching for pressure towards the top.

I also use a magnum primer, Fed GM215M

This is an on going project. I haven't had time to follow up on this project. The first issue was what brass to use. There aren't many options for 6mm Rem. brass these days. I have all kinds of brass to experiment with. I have some used (Win & Rem) 6mm Rem brass to new RWS 6.5 x 57, Norma 257 Roberts. I even have some brand new PPU 6mm Rem. brass I haven't even tried yet.

I am using a long action as my goal is to make an F Class on LR bench rifle. I purchased a use factory Remington varmint barrel put things together and shot it as a proof of concept (LOL).
