I can't find any reloading info on this powder , I bought it hoping it's the same as imr or h 4350 ? Any info is appreciated.

I tried a pound and found it to be a little slower than H4350 6XC. It wasn’t drastically different, but wasn’t the same either.

I am using A-4350 in my Custom Mosin .308 Open rifle , and have been for five years now . I ran comparison tests on all three 4350 powders out of my Mosin , equipped with a Krieger 5r , 30" 1-10T and the A-4350 not only had a consistent higher velocity , it was also more consistent in SD , and on the target , where it really counts most . Ask yourself who made the "Burn-rate" chart , and why the "H" & "I" powders rated better . That doesn't match my data for over 12,000 rounds of competition shooting , through Krieger , Brux , and Bartlein barrels . I'll keep using the A-4350 as long as I can get it , and it stays at the quality level it is currently at . Use whatever works best in your rifle . Regardless of the "Brand" name .

To the OP : When asking for advice on a powder , it is always helpful to members to know the rifle caliber , bullet being used , and even the brass being loaded . We can give much more accurate and concise responses that way . Thanks .

Thanks guys. This was a big help. It took a little to figure the site out.

PLEASE check your lot numbers. I wound up having about 30 lbs of the recalled powder in AA2495. I hadn’t used it years but was planning on going back to it for 6BR to conserve some other powders. The below discussion is scary - who knows if the recalled powder was the cause, but the result is bad enough not to risk it.

Yes I just bought this powder today from Midsouth. I would think it's OK? It won't be here for a week or so.

ShootersWorld 4350 is the slowest of them all and not listed.

Yes, it is very much slower burning than the other 4350s. This is Czech Lovex SO-70 that was sold in the US as Accurate Arms - 4350 until 19 years ago. (Today's Accurate-4350 is made by General Dynamics in Quebec Province, Canada in the plant that makes IMR powders for Hodgdon.)

I tried SO-70 / SW4350 last year in a 7mm-08 as part of a 14 powder test series looking at possible UK alternatives to IMR/H4350/H414 which are no longer imported here due to health & safety regulatory changes. The load was large primer Lapua, Russian primer, 160gn Sierra TMK seated for a long-throat match chamber.

I could get nowhere near H4350 MVs despite what QuickLOAD computed and / or the old Accurate Arms quoted for its nearest equivalent maximum load. 46gn SO-70, a full-case charge, was nigh on 200 fps down on where it should have been and well, well down on H4350's 45.0gn performance. This was from a recent manufacturing lot. I was so surprised. I had to check that I hadn't loaded SO-71 (the old Accurate Arms - 3100) by mistake because MVs were about what I'd have expected from this powder. Spreads and groups were very good over a wide charge range, but way, way too slow. I half wonder if Explosia had mis-labelled this lot of some slower burning grade as the powder wasn't nearly as slow burning as this in the past.
