Accurate 4350 comparison to H4350

IS AA4350 a decent substitute for H4350 since I cannot get H4350 at the current time? I am shooting 600yrd .260 Rem F-Class Open, 140 Berger VLD's.... Have shot several really good groups with H4350 but am running critically low, so I need to explore different options.

The lot of AA-4350 that I had was about one half to one grain slower burning than the batch of H-4350 I was using. The accuracy was just as good as H-4350, just had to charge with a bit more to get the same velocity. This was in a 6.5X47 Lapua with 130 grain Bergers.

I have found that with the lot of AA 4350 I have it shoots the same as IMR 4350 with the same loads in my 25-06. I have found that the AA powders can be just as accurate as any other powders with proper load work up. I started using AA powders many years ago because they used to be MUCH cheaper than others.

The A4350 I got recently seems halfway between H4350 and H4831SC. In my 260 24" I was shooting 123 SMK with 45.5 H4350 @ 3000fps with excellent accuracy. I ran out of H4350 and got 8 lbs. A4350. Now I've maxed out case capacity at 46.3 grains of A4350 and am still running 90 fps slower. In my gun the both SMK and Lapua 123's like to be around 3000 and I can't get there with A4350. I guess I'll try working some loads up with Hornady 140 Match and see what happens.

Not what you asked but if you can find h1000 it shot the best out of my 28" 260 rem. I was running 140 amax at2935~ fps

Shoots good in 6-284,, 10tw,,, 90gr bullets

If any of you have Q/Load, tap in cal 260, 139gr bullet, and 26" barrel, you will find that H4350 will not burn 100%, if you substitute the H4350 for AA4350 on Q/Load it says that AA4350 will burn 100%, this would indicate that it is a slightly faster burning powder than H4350 and would give slightly lower velocities,
I used AA4350 for years in my 260 and found 5 shot extreme spreads never more than 10 fps, I was never able to repeat this with H4350, I only wish I could still get it. dooley UK
