Accurate 3100

3100 is no longer being sold and has been removed from current load guides, you may need to contact WP directly.

Accurate 3100 worked just fine in my 25-06 and I had a real good load. Now if I could just find some 3100. It has been discontinued for many years. The company that made it for Accurate wants more money for it than Accurate will pay. They still market it and claim you can get it in the USA but I have had no luck.

What used to be AA-3100 (before Western Powders bought the old Accurate Arms Co.) is Lovex SO71 which is apparently available in the US.

Western stopped buying Czech manufactured powders after the takeover, so there may have been a North American made version between that time and Western dropping the grade. I believe that Accurate brand extruded grades are manufactured by the General Dynamics Valleyfield plant in Quebec Province, Canada - the same people who make most IMR powders. (Ball grades, both Accurate and Ramshot, are made in Belgium.) I've no knowledge though as to whether there was a Canadian made version of 3100.

Some Accurate ball is made at St. Mark's now. 1680, 2200, 2460, 2700, magpro. 2230, 2520 and all Ramshot except Silhouette and Competition still appear to be Belgian. At least for us here in the USA.

That may be because PB Clermont had an explosion and fire last year. We used to get most Ramshot grades in the UK direct from the factory to the distributor, but I believe the supply has dried up because of this.

Accurate 3100 sure did shoot great in my 7mm Rem mag with all bullets between 139 Hornady up to 160 Sierra. I did not have a chrno back then but a compressed load, case full cram a bullet in, would shoot bug holes.

S071 has not been available in the US to my knowledge. I did email SW last night about whether it would be available in the US and the answer I got was YES, it will be released early next year (2020). I've since asked if it is the same as the old 3100 and awaiting a reply. Very similar to 4831.

I am pretty sure that mr3100 is the same as Accurate 3100. It is a good 243 powder . I use to use it when I had a 243 with 100 gr bullets but I used just a bit more than you are using and it was a tack driver and the velocity was top notch. If you get some accurate 3100 like any time you get a new lot number of the same powder you should back off a little and work back up to be safe.

I had a killer load of AA 3100 for a 300 win mag & 180m Partitions. I was a little upset that The well ran dry. I then went with IMR7828. And It's an even better load! Just goes to show you you never can tell.
