Accurate 2200

Hey AccurateShooter.com friends.

Thought I would make you the first guys to know that the old Accurate 2200 is coming back.

As many of you know 2200 was a surplus powder back about 10 years ago. We sold the last of it in 2003. Over the years we have had many, many requests from shooters for this powder and have worked on getting Accurate to make this a canister powder. Seven years later and here we are. Accurate has gone to the extreme effort to recreate this powder to it's exact specifications. They recently completed the extensive testing and it will be in our hot little hands next week.

Yep...I've been using it for at least 15 years! Started with the "Data" powder and now use the production version. Still works great in .223.

Yes. When they discontinued the Data 2200, they listed additional loads and applications but specifically stated that data was the same for both. Unusual for manufacturing changes. I was actually a little surprised that I didn't have to change my favorite loads. I saw no difference in accuracy or apparent pressures between the two versions. Remember however, this is only in my rifles (Ruger #1 in .223, which I no longer have, and now my Ruger Predator, also in .223). It may not give the highest velocities, but it shoots very well and seems gentler on barrels than some other powders. A bit dirty, but it's just soot and a clean, dry patch takes care of it short term and cleans easily. Others might have different experiences, but I sort of doubt it.
