Accuracy Int'l -- Does it mag-feed 6BR,4 merged posts)

Does anyone have experience w/ how 6mmBR would feed in an Accuracy International stock w/ their detachable magazines for .308? I am wanting to have a repeater but have seen posts that a Rem BDL mag may not work. Any help would be appreciated.

jeepone--This is out of my expertise but I will simply give you an observation. The Tubb 2000 and the Tube Gun both use the single stack AI mags in their setup. The Tubb 2000 feeds the 6BR just fine, I have been told. The Tube gun repeater should also.
Thus, It would seem that the AICS would feed the 6BR as well.
However, I could be wrong.

Single stack on Tubbs 2000? are you sure? I have test shot one and really don't remember they was single stack. Is there a special model for 6 BR for the Tubbs 2000 ?

The Tubb 2000 uses a double stack mag for the 6BR case. See this photo, set up with 22BR cartridges):

OOPS,

Like I said I could be wrong and it seems that I am.
Clearly the Tubb mag is not a single stack, is the AI?
Thanks fellows for correcting me and my apologies to jeepone.

My 10 round mag feeds well but having trouble with the 5 round shooting a standard 6 br, the 10 round mag is a standard 308 with no spacers in it, the 5 rounder I played with

Just a thought, but what about the HS Precision Mags? They are a double row, available in 5 & 10 round versions. I know they are available for the Remington BDL.

I talked with Todd H,forget his whole last name) and they took some of my advice, from what i was hearing from smiths that made it work) and were working on a mag--over a couple weeks, they couldnt get it running perfect enough to market though :,

It was flinging the last round or two, or something, and they just couldnt get it working completely. That was my last contact with him.

A few days ago I shot with my friend that has a Tubb 2000. I asked him if his gun fed the 6mmBr after he converted it from the 6xc. He said it fed fine and that the mags that I thought were AI mags were in fact SR-25 mags.

I have build some tactical rifles in 6mmbr with the aics stock and yes it will feed the rounds, even with the long 105gr bullets)
If i have a bit more time i take some pictures of my setup and send them to 6mmbr.Including the modification. You need a beveled spacer in the front to take out the nose down movement of the cartridge.feeding is positive with the mags, centering inside the action it feels smoother than a standard rem mag.
Ejection is another problem you need to cycle the bolt with the right speed or the brass will not pop out. I am going to try a sako extr. maybe it works better.

MAK Enterprises Tubegun Repeater using the 6BR in Accuracy International magazines. www.tubegun.net

I just got this in the mail!

Todd,

We now have CNC machined cast nylon single loading blocks for the repeaters for the 6br. They'll be $32.50 each plus shipping. I'll take pictures as soon as I get a chance. Additional Accuracy International magazines are $55 each. Thanks.
