Acculab or Denver

I'm about to buy a reliable electronic scale but i'm hesitating between the new acculab,at Sinclair's) or the Denver MX123.

Which of the two is the most reliable-precise-stable?

How fast are they in comparison with a RCBS 10-10?

Ed

The Acculab and DI are basically identical, as they are both made by DI.

Either are much more accurate than any Redding, RCBS, etc., as they both weight down to .00 vs .0 and they are both pretty fast as well.

When you do get one be sure to go into the settings and change the 'Environment' variable to "Unstable" or "Very Unstable" This will help to speed up the time it takes to settle down and will also keep the weight shown on the display from fluctuating up and down quite so much.
If you're interested the manaul for the MXX-123 is at http://www.denverinstrumentusa.com/media/pdf/OpMan_MXX.pdf

Also I'd suggest getting a line voltage regulator which will help to improve it's consistency from charge to charge and will also provide surge protection. These run about $50 or so.
http://www.apc.com/products/family/index.cfm?id=67 Lower-end UPS units,e.g. under $300) will not provide power conditioning.

Get the Denver Instruments MX123 from James Phillips at the Reloaders Nest. $255 to your door. You won't beat that price anywhere else!

Eddy,

Make sure you read our test on the MXX-123:

The measurement results should apply to the Acculab as well. The only real difference is the Acculab comes with a small dust cover over the weighing station. Both are good products. And yes, Sinclair does provide outstanding service.
