ACCULAB-123 and MXX-123 the same thing???

I remember reading that the ACCULAB-123 and MXX-123 are the same thing? Is that correct?

There seems to be more MXX-123 being used.

As my son would say they are "Similar different" The Acculab has a hinged top the MXX123 does not. The color is different also. They are made by and at two different locations in Colorado with the same parent company. Internally the same with the same components.I have the Denver Instruments MXX123 which has worked well for me without a hitch. Either way I don't think you can go wrong. Pick the one you like the looks of and or the best price.

That's the response I was hoping for. Looks like the acculab is the better deal both in price and features. (draft shield looks like it's well thought out)

FWI - I just literally got off the phone with affordablescales.com, the company I put in my order with a week ago. Couldn't' figure out why I hadn't received it yet or that my card hadn't been charged yet. Turns out they say that everyone in the country is back ordered on these and no one will be able to get them until mid next week... FWIW place your order now and get on the waiting list....

I picked up an acculab VIC-123 and love the thing , never used the Denver but either way you could not go wrong.
I will be trying a promethius this week ?? it will be interesting
